Finding inspiration online with influencers

Posted on the 12/05/2020 by Karndean Designflooring

Over recent weeks it’s been lovely to catch up with all our Instagram favourites, finding out what they’ve been up to and how they’ve been updating their beautiful interiors this spring.

Now more than ever social media is playing an important role, keeping us connected and helping us stay positive. Influencers are key to keeping our optimism going and inspiring us to plan ahead for new homestyle projects, so we thought we’d share a small selection of some our favourite Instagram channels that we think you’ll love too.

Cara @CaraSuthers is renovating a new build cottage with a soft natural style that we adore. Earlier this year we featured Cara as our guest blogger when she shared her story of updating her living room into a family and pet friendly haven. We enjoy following her home updates through the seasons and her tales of life with her growing family.

Hannah @cotswoldcottage lives in a 200 year old Georgian cottage. With a warm and friendly approach, Hannah demonstrates how she has created a charming home in a modern country style that easily copes with the demands of a youngster and two dogs. Her use of classic design together with pastel shades and natural materials gives a gentle and welcoming result that is very on trend right now.

Lydia @Lydiamillenhome has created a beautiful modern English country home with plenty of character. Her new build house has been given a practical finish with an authentic sense of history using period colours, antique furniture and Country Oak flooring. Lydia’s timelessly elegant interior features a neutral palette that has been enlivened with a tasteful use of dramatic paintwork.

Making the most of existing original features in their 1875 Victorian property, Annika and Rachel @Victorianadventure share their experiences as they sympathetically restore a house that had been caught in an early 1960s time warp. We love this honest and heart-warming diary of two first time renovators as they create a comfortable modern home that respects its history. We particularly admire the original Milton floor they uncovered in the hallway. You can easily recreate the authentic look of Victorian tiles in your home with our Heritage collection.

There’s something about Becca’s @becshomestyle delightful home that is so restful but never boring. With a soft neutral scheme throughout, Becca showcases her home transformations and seasonal updates that keep each room looking fresh. Recently Becca has introduced a few natural wicker items for a touch of Scandicraft style, currently one of our favourite trends.

Finally, we’d like to recommend Justin @Design_at_nineteen, an award winning content creator and interior stylist who posts about the ongoing renovation of his city based terraced home. We love his clean style and his arrangements of objet d’art on cupboards, shelves and walls which create an effortlessly chic look. Justin is one of our go-to Instagrammers for on trend décor inspiration.

It’s been so hard to choose just six as there are so many more! We’d love to hear about your favourite Instagrammers and your own styling adventures. Join the conversation on Instagram @karndean_uk.
