What’s happening at CDW2023

Posted on the 08/05/2023 by Karndean Designflooring

This year’s Clerkenwell Design Week (23rd – 25th May) will mark 12 months since our Karndean studio landed at 20 Clerkenwell Green and we’ve been blown away by the reception we’ve received from the vibrant design community.

Our London team, Jonathan, George, Darren and Jo, has been honoured to introduce you to our authentic flooring designs inspired by the beauty of the natural world and discuss how our latest collections can take your interiors to the next level.

As we opened our studio doors last spring, we launched an expanded Knight Tile range with a dual format collection of contemporary cool and neutral hues, including options in herringbone and a unique chevron effect plank.

Then, at the end of last year, we offered you a new outlet to express your creativity with imaginative floors that make a statement. We’ve been excited to see how you have incorporated the endless design possibilities of our Opus abstracts capsule collection into engaging and intriguing spaces. At our Clerkenwell Green studio, our friends at Coat Paint have recently joined forces with us to pair their sustainable paints with our abstract designs.

This year, as we celebrate 50 years in the flooring industry, we’re again delighted to take a prominent role in Clerkenwell Design Week.

Make a note in your diary to join us to explore our extensive range of contemporary designs, including our new dual format Van Gogh collection inspired by moments of nature sourced from around the world. This popular range welcomes a total of 24 brand new designs, including the collection’s first stone designs, in a choice of formats and tile sizes including on-trend herringbone and chevron.

From characterful oaks to stunning marbles, the new Van Gogh range is our biggest collection to date, offering unsurpassed versatility to take the same design over differing subfloor conditions or incorporate interesting patterns and colour combinations.

As part of the festival’s diary of events, our global head of sustainability, Jamie Shaw, will take an in-depth look at Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and how we are starting to use that information to set our five year Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy and drive change globally.

Register your interest to join us at wallacespace, 18 Clerkenwell Green on Tuesday 23rd May, 6pm - 9pm, to discuss how sustainable design is evolving with places, health and wellbeing at the core of the design process and learn how EPDs can help you specify for sustainability.

Our studio will be open throughout the festival and we look forward to welcoming you to our Clerkenwell Design Week experience in the heart of London.
