We are delighted to reveal that we are featured on the cover of this month’s Mix Interiors magazine alongside LOM architecture and design. Inspired by our mission to push boundaries and empower designers to embrace a sense of possibility, the cover presents an abstract representation of design as an endless journey of discovery with lines of intersecting colour extracted from natural textures and various landscapes to create a sense of movement.
As humans, we are rooted in our locality and community. Great interior design recognises and embraces this, connecting indoor spaces with the natural materials found in the world outside to bring a sense of belonging and wellbeing.
Inspired by the health giving properties of nature and the materials they find as they travel the world, our designers create beautiful and durable contemporary flooring that enables designers to conceive ground-breaking interiors.
Fleur Carson, commercial sales director, explained: “Mix Interiors magazine is renowned for showcasing innovators at the forefront of the design world and so we have always been proud of our long association with this publication.
“It has often been said that architects and interior designers are responsible for creating a sense of order and place. Our latest cover design turns this concept on its head with a blurring of reality into disorder, breaking down the natural world to its elemental colours and shades of light and dark. The design asks us to consider where one landscape or one organism ends and another begins. For us, it’s in the distortion of perception that the potentiality of design can be found. When we look at reality from a new angle we can find an enhanced sense of opportunity.
“By creating abstract art from the ordered structure of nature, we hope that this cover encourages designers to search for a new roadmap of creating spaces that inspire a sense of belonging and emotional engagement with our environment. From there we will be able to imagine a new way forward to a healthier and more sustainable future.”
