It’s the time of year where we would traditionally look to buy a gift or two. This year, instead of buying gifts for our customers, we have donated £7,000 to the UK’s largest food bank network, the Trussell Trust, to help provide emergency food parcels to those that need it most in the UK.
Looking to do their bit too, our employees and customers are also kindly donating items of food to our Evesham showroom and HQ on the lead up to Christmas, which will be shared between two local food banks at the Evesham Methodist Church and Caring Hands in the Vale.
If you’re local to our showroom at Crab Apple Way, Vale Park, Evesham, please feel free to stop by to donate any food you can, and we will add this to our collection.
“With latest figures from the Trussell Trust showing that 1.3m emergency food parcels were provided to people between April and September this year and almost half of these are to children, we felt it is important to do what we can and donate what we would normally spend on gifts to help fund emergency food parcels,” Paul Barratt, managing director of Karndean Designflooring.
