Designed to be highly versatile, our floors can be laid in a variety of interesting patterns. Will you opt for an on-trend herringbone or traditional straight lay? How about laying at an angle to visually widen your space? In addition, our design strips can offer a whole new level of installation options.
Available in a wide range of colours in wood or stone effects and a choice of three widths, 3mm, 5mm and 10mm, design strips can be placed between our gluedown* planks or tiles to create definition and a finish so authentic you won’t believe it’s not real!
Get the look: floorboards
To recreate the shadowy gaps characteristic of exposed floorboards, opt for a design strip in a darker shade than your chosen wood design planks.
Whether you would like to achieve a subtle definition or a strong contrast between the ‘boards’ and ‘gaps’, our collection of design strips offers plenty of choice. For lighter wood designs, you might look to warm Honey or Coffee. To complement darker designs consider our deepest brown design strips such as Chocolate or Ebony.

Get the look: tiles
For a highly realistic stone floor look, the grouting effect between tiles can be easily replicated with a design strip in a lighter shade.
Choose your preferred colourway in just the same way as you would for a real stone floor, pairing together cool or warm shades, light or dark tones. From the lightest cool tones of Chalk and Silver to soft warm Stone and the dark grey of Charcoal, there is a perfect design strip for each of our stone design tiles.

The finishing touch
Our design strips can also be used to give definition to the edges of your room. Laid in a single keyline or double tramline, a border tile with complementary design strips is sure to add an elegant finish to your space.
