Following the popularity of its sister product Honed Oyster Slate, our designers felt there was an opportunity to introduce further colour tones. These colourways are closer to the origination material. Honed Charcoal Slate has cooler charcoal tones that support its visual form.
The Knight Tile range has a particularly wide range of designs, borders and design strip combinations, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Each floor is supplied in a hardwearing 0.3mm surface layer and comes with a lifetime residential guarantee.
Knight Tile Wood Effect Flooring
There is a wide choice of Knight Tile wood effect planks in each of the light wood, mid wood and dark wood collections. They come in a slim wood plank with a smooth surface and are designed to faithfully replicate the natural timber that inspired them, including several oak wood designs.
Knight Tile Natural Stone and Slate Effect Floor Tiles
If you are looking for a stone or slate floor but would prefer a warmer surface, easier maintenance and to avoid chips when the occasional item of crockery is dropped, then our stone effect tiles are perfect.
Each is supplied in 12” by 12” (305mm x 305mm) standard size tiles with either a smooth or lightly textured surface. They range from light cream and beige through to dark greys and black, providing you with plenty of tone choices to suit your look.

Cleaning and Maintenance
How to keep your Karndean floor clean
Karndean Designflooring is hardwearing and is easy to clean and look after. Our enhanced surface treatment helps protect against everyday wear, spills and scuffs. This makes it easier and more environmentally friendly to clean and maintain your floor, giving you peace of mind that your Karndean floor will look great for years to come. Should any part of the floor become damaged, the individual tile and plank format means you can easily replace the damaged plank or tile.
Karndean Designflooring has a wide range of personalisation options to help you achieve a unique look for your room. Why not try a design strip between wood effect planks for a different effect or to replicate the gaps between real wood floor boards?
You can also use design strips as borders around the edge of your room or around a key feature such as a fireplace or kitchen island unit. Thinner 3mm and 5mm strips can be used as keyline borders or in combination with wider 10mm, 30mm or 76mm widths to form a tramline design.
Design and feature strips that can be combined with this floor are shown below. Strips can also be requested as samples. To order a sample, simply click 'Add To Basket' next to the strip you like.
For a clean and modern look choose square tiles without a design strip for a simple background to your space. For an authentic stone look try adding a pale decorative strip in between tiles for a realistic grout effect.
Straight or Diagonal Patterns
You can lay tiles on a straight angle creating a linear look or try diagonally to add a spacious feel to a small room.
Try a Border
If you are looking for simple design ideas try using a combination of feature strips in a variety of widths and effects, known as a tramline or keyline border to make a feature around your furniture. Your local retailer can suggest some ideas to complement your furnishings.
Create a Chequerboard Effect
For a classic look select different stone effects in contrasting colourways to create checkerboard tiles adding a unique look to bland spaces.
