You’ve likely seen elements of this trend, but just didn’t know what it was called. Wabi-sabi stems from a Japanese philosophy that centers around authenticity and imperfection. In design, this translates to natural and organic décor that has worn over time. Scandinavian style is wabi-sabi in its own way as it is centered around natural woods. Have you noticed mustard yellow popping up on your Instagram and Pinterest feeds? In general, yellow is known for its warmth and optimism when used in home décor. Tones of golden or mustard yellow will complement other colors in your fall palette and add a bit of brightness during the winter months. It’s easily a color you can incorporate into your décor year-round.
