Bathrooms often get overlooked when it comes to home décor – once the suite is installed, it’s easy to forget about the finer details which give your space character. You don't need a complete design overhaul to bring your room up to date though; our team of design experts have come up with some great ways to refresh your bathroom - without breaking the bank.
Our ultimate bathroom color palette is classic monochrome. A timeless trend, simple black and white is massively versatile – focus on blacks for a moody, opulent space or white for a cleaner, more contemporary look. To keep your space current, introduce color through your accessories based on seasonal trends.

Plants make a great addition to any bathroom; not only do they bring a flash of color, but most houseplants help to purify air as well. Aloe plants are perfect for bathrooms – they don’t need much sunlight and the humidity normally provides enough water to keep it healthy. Use a quirky container to make your plant a focal point within the room.

One of the great things about Karndean is that it is perfect for bathrooms. Warmer underfoot than natural stone, it provides a practical solution and can even be used with underfloor heating. Wood and laminate flooring options aren’t ideal for bathrooms due to moisture and splashes (especially if you have kids!), however, Karndean is water resistant and won’t swell or warp when wet – making it a perfect choice for your bathroom space. Furthermore, the extensive range of designs and colors means that there is something to match every style.

Many people don’t give much thought to their bathroom lighting, but there are so many ways to turn your fixtures into focal points. Try opting for a back lit mirror - if you choose one big enough, it will provide enough light for the whole room! If you could do with a little extra, try adding a couple of subtle spotlights to help brighten your space.
