On January 29, more than one-hundred Karndean Designflooring executives, sales leaders and partners teed off at Siena Golf Club for our 8th annual customer appreciation event and to mark the beginning of an exciting week in Las Vegas, culminating at The International Surface Event.
What began as a golf event has come to include a charitable aspect over the last several years. Throughout the event, players had the opportunity to purchase “mulligans” in exchange for a monetary donation. All proceeds from the mulligans were combined with other donations from players and matched by us to benefit the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS).
TAPS offers immediate and long-term emotional help, hope and healing to all those grieving the death of a loved one in military service to America, regardless of their relationship to the deceased or the circumstances of the death.
“This event started out as a way for customers to spend time with Karndean Designflooring executives, members of the product team, and to celebrate the previous years’ successes,” Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Larry Browder said. “Over the last several years it has evolved into something even more meaningful for both Karndean Designflooring and our partners.”
We were fortunate enough to have TAPS Senior Advisor for Community Engagement and Special Events, Marie Campbell at the event.
“At TAPS, we refer to ourselves as ‘America’s Family,’ and we are honored to have Karndean Designflooring as a part of our family so that together we can provide support to the families of America’s fallen heroes,” Campbell said.
The gathering moved from the golf course to our Las Vegas corporate showroom for an evening of product previews and entertainment from Ryan Whyte Maloney (finalist on NBC’s The Voice).
It’s back to work for the rest of the week, as we exhibit at The International Surface Event at Mandalay Bay and show attendees just how we “See Flooring Differently.” Find out what you can expect to see from us at Surfaces in our preview blog.
