Karndean Designflooring Cleaning Products

Your floor is designed to withstand everyday life, but you may wish to give it some extra care from time-to-time. We offer effective cleaning solutions that will keep your floor looking brand new. Use Karndean Clean for routine cleaning, and Karndean Remove and Karndean Refresh once or twice a year to restore the finish of your floor. Please note: Karndean Refresh will enhance the sheen of your floor.

These solutions are available individually or as part of our Floor Care Kit, which can be purchased through any Karndean Designflooring retailer. Our Floor Care Kits include:

Using Karndean Cleaning Solutions

Karndean Clean

Karndean Clean is a water-soluble everyday cleaner for your Karndean floor and adds extra protection between deep cleans.

1. With a soft sweeping brush, remove any loose dirt or dust. If you use a vacuum, be sure to switch to the hard floor setting or disable the beater bar first.
2. Add 1.6 fl.oz. of Karndean Clean (1 notch on the bottle) to approximately 2 gallons of water -or- 1.5 Tablespoons of Karndean Clean to 1 gallon of water.
3. Mop the Karndean Clean solution onto the whole floor.
4. Mop any excess liquid and allow the floor to dry before walking on it.

Karndean Remove

Karndean Remove assists in removing films and contaminants or prepares your floor before applying Karndean Refresh. Be sure to have both solutions before using Karndean Remove. Note: Karndean Remove can be used without Karndean Refresh to remove films.

1. With a soft sweeping brush, remove any loose dirt or dust. If you use a vacuum, be sure to switch to the hard floor setting or disable the beater bar first.
2. Always wear protective gloves when using Karndean Remove.
3. Dilute 1 part Karndean Remove in 5 parts clean water. 
4. Liberally spread the solution onto the floor with a mop.
5. Allow the solution to work for five minutes. Be sure not to let it dry.
6. Use the blue applicator from your Floor Care Kit with a wet Karndean Remove Pad (coarse/white) and scrub the floor.
7. Using clean warm water, mop the floor thoroughly to remove residue.
8. Be sure the floor is free of any traces of Karndean Remove (otherwise the floor may have a streaky appearance).
