The hospitality landscape in California's Napa Valley region is upscale and extremely competitive. For Amar Patel, UpValley Inn & Hot Springs owner and managing member of The Anvaya Group, a hotel that began as a Comfort Inn in the late 1980s was in need of a design refresh to keep up with increasing competition. With a goal of renovating to create a boutique hotel feel, Patel attended the 2015 Hospitality Design Expo in Las Vegas, in search of flooring to match his boutique hotel vision that could be easy to replace and maximize acoustics.
