Having specialized in luxury vinyl for more than 40 years, we know the ins and outs of luxury vinyl. Our Continued Education Units (CEU) program offers a variety of courses to educate architects and designers on the latest innovations and useful information relevant to luxury vinyl and interior design.

 

Course One: Today’s Luxury Vinyl Flooring

• Comprehend the benefits of luxury vinyl flooring
• Learn the advantages of glue down, floating, and click flooring
• Understand proper install techniques
• Learn the environmental factors of luxury vinyl flooring

 

 
Course Two: True Colors: North American Color Forecast 2019 and Beyond

• 1 Credit Hour; General Credit
• Learning Level: Basic
• Subject Code: 1. Theory & Creativity / 1. Color

Learning Objectives: 
• Provide the A & D community the emerging North American color palette for 2019-2020 as researched and developed by Color Marketing Group International. (CMG has given permission to share this information in an educational CEU)
• Discuss in-depth the key drivers that are responsible for the color directions. There are three color stories pertinent to the research and ultimate decisions as to which colors were included in the new palette.
• Attendees will see not only the new colors, but visual examples of commercial and/or residential interior applications for each.
• Provide each CEU attendee with an accurate color chart of the emerging colors to take back to their workplace and apply to their current design projects to stay ahead of the trends.

Course Four: Specifying Luxury Vinyl Flooring in Environmentally Conscious Design

• Learning Level: Intermediate
• Subject Code: 5. Technical Knowledge / 8. Floorcoverings

 

Learning Objectives: 
• Demonstrate luxury vinyl tile’s composition and manufacturing process
• Evaluate performance testing and third-party certifications of luxury vinyl tile  
• Analyze luxury vinyl tile’s contribution to the green building movement
• Illustrate applications where you can specify LVT and feel confident that there aren’t repercussions for the environment or occupant health

 

 

     
Course Five: Technical and Practical Benefits of Optimizing Acoustics

• 1 Credit Hour; HSW Credit

Learning Objectives: 
• Identify factors affecting acoustic performance and understand acoustic measurements and testing standards, including sound transmission class (STC), Impact Insulation Class (IIC), and Delta IIC (ΔIIC)

• Understand the benefits of improved acoustics in commercial and residential applications such as education, healthcare, corporate offices, hospitality, and multifamily communities
• Analyze how flooring systems can help meet acoustic requirements for optimal indoor environmental quality.
