We recommend that you use our range of environmentally friendly Karndean Designflooring adhesives that are available for you to order. The type of adhesive required will depend on the application and location of the installation.
Karndean Mega-Bond
Available in 1 litre, 4 litre, 10 litre and 15-litre tubs, it is available in stock for order with your Designflooring products. Karndean Mega-Bond adhesive is a permanent bond, water-based adhesive that is solvent and odour free, incorporating a polymer acrylic sealer to give a good initial grab and excellent open time. You'll find that Mega-Bond can be used for all Karndean Designflooring planks and tiles.
Karndean Hi-Tack PS
Available in both 4 litre and 15-litre tubs, it is available in stock for order with your Designflooring products. Karndean Hi-Tack PS adhesive is a pressure-sensitive "peel & release" water-based adhesive that is solvent and odour free, formulated to provide a lateral bond and have a peel-able nature. You'll find that Karndean Hi-Tack PS is used only for Karndean LooseLay planks and tiles.
Karndean Polyurethane Adhesive
Available in both 5 kilogram and 10-kilogram tubs, it is available in stock for order with your Designflooring products. Karndean 2-Part Polyurethane Multipurpose Flooring Adhesive is a waterproof, high-temperature adhesive for use in circumstances when excessive water puddling or high temperatures are expected to play onto the floor. It can also be used for adhesion to non-porous substrates such as steel. After mixing parts A & B together it provides an extreme permanent chemical bond.
A great benefit of all Karndean adhesives is that each formulation prevents spillages from seeping into tile or plank joints. In the case of Mega-Bond and Hi-Tack PS, a polymer sealer is incorporated.
