The Art Select Wood range has been recognized by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design with a 2019 Good Design® Award. The annual awards program recognizes the most innovative, bold and cutting-edge products from around the world.
Full of charm and character, the Art Select wood gluedown luxury vinyl range allows flooring retailers and homeowners to bring the beauty of real wood to life in their projects. Designed with hand-carved embosses and distinctive beveled edges, each plank is crafted to enhance the unique grains, knots and textures of the woods that inspired them, some of which are no longer available or are cost-prohibitive in their natural state.
These rare woods include:
- Reclaimed hickory, whose stark color contrast is the result of more than a century of growth.
- American chestnut, which is now commercially extinct but is renowned for its array of characterful cracks and worm holes.
- French oak, known for minimal knots and tight graining that add a slow-aged quality to the boards.
- English oak, inspired by artisan woodworking techniques used when boards were individually crafted.
The latest additions to the range were developed from reclaimed hickory, American chestnut, French oak and English oak. Planks are sized 56” x 9” (one color available in a corresponding 18” x 3” plank) with a 30mil wear layer and are backed by a lifetime residential warranty (20-year commercial warranty).
