Returning for its impressive 54th year, The Flooring Show once again took over the idyllic town of Harrogate this week (18-20th September, 2016) and it’s fair to say the show had an extra buzz about it this year, with hundreds of professionals from the independent retail and contract sectors coming together to see what’s new from the industry.
Looking to the latest industrial and weathered trends, Scarlet Opus hosted this year’s Trend Hub and presented an array of static window displays, designed to inspire and offer visual merchandising tips to visitors. The team opted for the weathered steel finish of our Da Vinci Molten and Da Vinci Limed Jute Oak with its distinctive grain (pictured below) to complete the look.
Geometric designs and patterns were also present throughout the show, whether on wall tiles, carpet or luxury vinyl flooring. Our Kaleidoscope (pictured below) preview certainly caught the attention of visitors, with most stopping in their tracks to create their own design.
With live demonstrations on show, The Contract Flooring Association (CFA) debuted our brand new 1.5 metre plank design from our Karndean LooseLay Longboard collection. Being our longest plank design to date, LooseLay Longboard received a fantastic response, being dubbed a new option for 'adding impact in large residential spaces' and offering 'flexibility and acoustic benefits' in commercial settings.
Overall, The Flooring Show 2016 proved once again, why it’s the place to be in September. This year is going to be a tough act to follow, so we’re already intrigued what 2017 will bring. Watch this space!
