We’re delighted to be joining forces with interior designers throughout the UK in creating havens for frontline NHS workers working to save lives.
Design Havens for Heroes is an amazing project spearheaded by interior designer Francesca Rowan Plowden (pictured below), which is centred around giving back to our NHS by offering the heroes on the frontline of the coronavirus outbreak a bespoke room makeover by a talented interior designer.
“I wanted to offer something to help the cause and the NHS, but felt I had nothing to give, other than to stay at home, explained Francesca.
She said: “I realised that our home was our haven, and it was keeping my family safe and cocooned while so many were risking their lives. Later that night, I had the idea, I could help, and that I could help create havens for NHS workers for when this awful time is over.
“The support we have seen from the industry, trade and suppliers alike is astounding and it continues. Like the walls, flooring will play an important backdrop to any of the schemes our wonderful designers present for our heroes. As well as being beautiful, it needs to be practical, durable and easy to maintain.”
In good company with Farrow and Ball, Colefax & Fowler and Tom Dixon, we’ll be one of many brand suppliers offering our beautiful designs to complement a range of decors for NHS heroes.
The incredible designers backing this marvellous campaign include interior designer and writer, Kate Watson-Smyth (@mad_about_the_house), former editor-in-chief of ELLE Decoration UK, Michelle Ogundehin and DIY blogger and author of ‘Home Sweet Rented Home’, Medina Grillo (@grillodesigns) to name but a few.
Internationally renowned interior designer, Nina Campbell (@ninacampbellltd), is also throwing her support behind the campaign as an ambassador. As well as home renovation expert, Greg Penn (@manwithahammer), who will be rallying the trade to get on board.
