Elegant wood designs with a unique friction grip backing
Discover a collection of beautiful wood designs in an extra-long plank length and easy-fit format, ideal for both temporary and permanent installations.
Featuring our K-Wave friction grip backing, Karndean LooseLay Longboard creates a strong bond to the subfloor using a combination of weight and friction, holding the product in place without adhesive. Additionally, each plank and tile features a pre-attached acoustic layer to reduce the transfer of noise from upstairs rooms to the floor below.
Choose from a collection of 12 unique designs inspired by oak, pine and walnut as well as more exotic timbers from the Australian continent. For the latest monochrome greys look to the subtle whitewashed planks of Bleached Tasmanian Oak or the statement deep charcoal tones of Raven Oak. If your preference is something traditional but with a contemporary twist, admire the distressed appearance of Twilight Oak and Neutral Oak with their interesting grain patterns and lightly brushed surface texture. Alternatively, for the rustic reclaimed character of a barn conversion, Weathered Heart Pine or Antique Heart Pine could be just what you’re looking for.
Our LooseLay Longboard flooring is quick and easy to install, requiring only the use of a light tackifier in the majority of installations, for a beautiful result in no time.
- Acoustic benefits. The construction of Karndean LooseLay Longboard offers effective noise transfer by 13dB making it a perfect acoustic solution for bedrooms, loft conversions, flats and apartments. We are proud to hold Quiet Mark accreditation.
- Easy fit. Due to the innovative K-Wave friction grip backing, Karndean LooseLay Longboard can be laid directly over most existing, level, smooth hard floors with minimal subfloor preparation. Fitting tight against straight and curved walls and fixtures, there’s no need to leave and cover up any expansion gaps.
- Hygienic. Unlike other floor coverings a Karndean floor won’t harbour dirt, allergens or microbes for a surface that’s reassuringly healthy.
- Comfortable. Our products are softer and warmer underfoot than natural wood and are compatible with underfloor heating.
