Award Winning Opus
OPUS, Karndean International’s latest entry into the commercial-grade flooring market, was previewed and recognized with a Silver Award in the Best New Products Competition at NeoCon World’s Trade Fair, held from June 14th through 16th at the Merchandise Mart, Chicago.
The competition, sponsored by Contract Magazine, pitted Opus against 13 competitors in the resilient flooring category. In all, 60 jurors reviewed 400 new products in the competition.

Launching exclusively as a commercial line on September 1, 2010, competitively priced, and suitable for an extensive range of commercial applications, Opus is available in 22 colors -- 12 simulated wood designs and 10 stone patterns. With Karndean’s new K-Guard+ surface treatment requiring no initial sealing, Opus is engineered for durability and longevity, and is available in a variety of plank and tile sizes to simplify and streamline installation.
Engineered to work in large or small installations, Opus simulated wood planks will be available in 36"x 6" and 48"x 9" sizes. Opus simulated stone tiles will be available in 18"x 18" and 18"x 24" dimensions. A new selection of six, 3mm-wide strips in the tile finish will be on the market shortly. All Opus planks and tiles are 2.5mm thick, and are equipped with a 0.55mm wear layer for scuff resistance and finish durability.
